Equal Time for Puppies

The last weekend of having all 9 puppies. They grow up so fast.  The last few days they’ve been able to spend some time in the dog yard in the mornings and late evenings.  It’s too hot mid-day.  We carefully rigged shiny silver shade cloth over the exposed area of a kennel so as to be hawk resistant.

The long-suffering Hannah shouldn't have anything left, but they still try. And she lets them.

Opie: "I've got my daddy, nannee, nannee . . ."

So sweet when they're asleep.

Count down to lift-off. We have some ears that won't need much or any taping.

Oh, you again? Yes, her name has become "Opie" though we both have a tendency to call her "Oops".

Louie the Lunk with his bootiful bloo eyes.

Pick you up? Again? Why?

The puppies will be entertaining guests next Saturday, July 24th, at Megan’s outside of Newberg. The festivities should start around 2 p.m. Hopefully we’ll be outside if it’s not unbearably hot.

Contact Megan at megan@hanselman.com for directions (I’m not posting her address here) and I’ll ask her to put more information on her blog

Chaucer and Stormy Visit

I promise: more puppy pictures tomorrow. Tomorrow they will be having chicken wings for the first time, so that should be interesting. Today we had several puppy-huggers come to visit. Late in the afternoon I decided that I should snap a few pictures.

Nate loved meeting his Auntie Louise. I believe that she was rather taken with him as well.

Aunties are tasty.

Juniper and her goofy boy-dog Chaucer. Chaucer is the blue version of his brother Huxley.

Chaucer spent what seemed like hours cleaning Hannah's face. And Hannah

Kacy daughter-and-clone Stormy, on her mom's old dog bed (sniff).

Thanks to Tom for bringing out his camera.  I really needed this when I got home from a long end-of-month day at work.

Who let the dogs out?

Katie on a mission.

Come on out, Louie . . .

Puppy. Shoe. Need I say more?

Nate: "I have TEEFS!"

Precious Rosie

Olga-Opal

Poppy has a whole new way to use the exercise bike.

"Because I said so."

Growing and Growing and Growing . . .

Can you believe those were all in there just two weeks ago?

“Open Your Eyes” . . . “Abre Los Ojos” . . . did anyone see the (better) original Spanish movie that Vanilla Sky was based on? It looks like the blues all have either blue or merled eyes. Maybe?

Time to start training them to “stack” now.

Katie could be a princess. Do I need another princess?

Yes, those would be fat rolls on Louie. Louie the Lunk.

Mason is adorable.  Pretty head.

Nate. Black version of Lunk. “Lemme go!”

Opal, who Tom keeps calling “Olga”.

Poppy is still asleep. Maybe tomorrow . . .

Quinne is growing on me. Blue eyes? Shadow was in my dreams last night.

Rosie: you saw her cute face already.

Sliver. Striking.
