Six Words

To join in the game:

Alice = plush, soft, matronly, voracious, kind, queen

Molly = sparky, talkative, mink coat, virgin princess

Huxley = regal, lazy, hen pecked, office dog

Pilot = bouncy, enthusiastic, loving, sensitive, at camp

Just a week from tomorrow until this year’s desert vacation.  Alice and Molly will be traveling with us this year.  Huxley will be going to stay with Grandma Louise and Grandpa Gary;  we’re meeting tomorrow in Albany.  Pilot is spending a couple of months with Dixie (and two of his daughters) for conditioning and training.  “Dog Camp”.

Pictures from Rose City

Just a few pictures from today.
Lucy waiting to go on the table.
Lucy going.

Harvey and Pilot

Slick and Ruby

We tried to get some good pictures of Ell outside of the ring (since the person with the camera had her inside the ring).  I think that Mandy now believes Garrett’s assertion that she has ADD.  Maybe tomorrow.

Judge comment on Molly: a really nice bitch when she gets her head screwed on right (ok, so she’s not real good at giving ears to the judge. Still.)
And on Ell: You certainly wouldn’t mistake her for anything other than a Cardigan (I think that means that she has some breed type). Oh, and something about flying in high winds due to her ears. I was quite pleased with how well Ell showed for me. Paul’s bitch is tough to beat . . . and as her sire is Huxley’s full brother . . . it’s all family, isn’t it.  And the other bitch is very pretty and typey and we’ve been going back-and-forth with her.

Pilot was pulled out third in breed, behind Higgins and Slick (Ch Baewyn Telltail Smooth Operator). Not bad for a 2-year-old, especially as he was being so excited to see “his person” (i.e. Mandy) that he wanted to screw his body around to watch her the entire time he was moving.

A funny thing happened back at the motel. I walked Pilot and Molly and put them up in the room and was going back to get Ell . . . who BTW refused to potty in the shavings at the show all day . . . and Keith was down in the potty area with Hannah. Hannah caught sight of me when I first walked out of the door of the lobby and by the time I walked up to her she was all over me. I don’t see Hannah all that often. It’s funny how they remember you and can recognize you a hundred feet away.

Hannah is supposed to make me a girl Captain in a few months. Fingers crossed.

Rose City Grooming

Hmm, I think we’ve been around here before.

The big old building, farthest from the rings, across from the second women’s restroom sign but about 1/2 to the other wall.

Three dogs to wash at the show tomorrow morning.  Tonight we’re lounging in our room eating lean cuisine (me) and raw ground chicken (them).
