Documentation. At one point it even said “5″ but I couldn’t get my camera out quick enough.
With apologies to those who are used to this, we’re not. This is Southern Oregon. West of the Cascades.
But all-in-all it is actually better than the freezing fog. Except for the fact that the dogs can’t stay out for more than 5 seconds at a time and the cats have taken up permanent residence on the bed.

It is 60 here. But I’ll try not to rub it in.
We’ve been in the low teens for the last three nights — very rare here. Since my critters already reside on the bed, there has been no change in that aspect of life.
So last night there was somewhere in our neighborhood (but we couldn’t tell where) a dog whimpering for half an hour out in the cold. Brian went out and yelled “Let your poor dog in” and we heard a door open and close and no more dog. Poor thing. Who knows how long the poor dog was freezing for…
The acoustics in our neighborhood are just odd.
5? Wow, it was a balmy 20 in Napa this morning. We’re all in shorts and T-shirts. Watson likes sliding on the frozen grass. 
10 when I went to work.
Mark says we never have to worry about running out of fire wood as we could just pile all the dogs on the bed to keep us warm.
We certainly get temperatures like you describe and worse –here in WI, but that doesn’t mean we like it any better than you do. It means extra work to make sure that the outside animals can survive. I have outside cats on both of my enclosed porches and a heater for the rest of them in what was a milk room in the barn.
We have been in the teens at night all week also. The dogs think this cold snap is the best thing ever as they are now full time house dogs again. Lacey, the old Aussie, even got to sleep on the bed the other night even after my husband swore NO dogs were sleeping with us ever again. She was in heaven.
The barn kitties knocked over their bag of food in the shop and are both now sporting quite an impressive layer of “insulation”. They also have a nest of blankies in the barn so when I check on them, they seem quite content.
My horse, on the other hand, doesn’t seem bothered by the cold in the least. Between her fuzzy coat, her blankets, and the big pile of hay the barn owner keeps in front of her, she is quite toasty. She has a big hay belly now, but at least she’s warm!
