Cozy Christmas socks
Useful item: a pocket for the bed remote-control to hang between us. (That’s a remote to control the sleep-number, not a tv remote.)
Next up: a sweater from Peg Gaffney’s corgi knitting book. Note brindle yarn.

When I was watching Baba, as we do every year, I noticed that the sign outside of Hoggett Farm advertises wool in white, black and brindle. What is brindle wool?
Baba is supposed to be Babe. Sigh.
In the case of this yarn, it’s a brown & black mottled 100% merino. It’s the same wool as the heathery green, which has blue flecks. Just a different color.
I never caught that on Babe before.
So, is it dyed? Never seen blue flecks on a sheep, so it must be?
My kilt is in merino wool, woven by a local mill. Doesn’t hold a crease very well – which I am told has to do with the wool. But it sure feels nice.
Don’t feel bad about missing the sign in the movie. It is only legible for two or three frames.
I’ve been mulling projects from that book, too. I’m considering making a bag. I’ll need brindle yarn, too, to go along with the black and the red. 
Let me know what you think of her patterns.
Wool that would give a good crease would also likely give a good itch and, considering what a kilt covers, I’m thinking I’d go less creased!
