Nikki was my introduction to the Swedish Vallhund and my ticket to many exciting places. Nikkie was bred by Sandy Mysak & Teri Moyer-Gilbert and was whelped in August of 2004. Until August 2011 I co-owned Nikki with Barbara Jette and Cheryle Vannoy of Champoeg kennels. Nikki generally lived with Barb and Cheri, but I usually handled her during her show career. We competed starting in AKC Miscellaneous classes. Starting in late June of 2007, Swedish Vallhunds were accepted into the herding group. Nikki finished her championship in just 4 weekends with competition. Her record to finish included 5 majors and 1 major reserves in the 7 shows. At her final show to finish and the next day as a move-up, she was also Best of Breed.
Nikki was the #4 Swedish Vallhund in 2007, and the #1 bitch in AKC rankings. Nikki and Cheri and I attended (and showed) at both Eukanuba in December 2007 and Westminster KC February of 2008.
Nikki is just a doll. She is friendly and outgoing with people and other dogs alike. She fit right into our Cardigan pack when she would visit at our house.
