We had one of those beautiful early-spring days today. Actually, all weekend was warm and sunny and the dogs got a couple of nice runs in the front pasture. Today was Molly’s 4-month birthday and I decided that she was big enough to go out and play with “the big dogs”. When a big hawk started circling, she had to go in.
Molly had her head down, but I love the way the sun is shining off her mink-colored coat in this picture. Her adult coat is just starting to come in nicely. She is moving with a level topline and is carrying her tail nicely at this point . . . knock on wood.
When not in tall grass, she is maybe a tad on the leggy side. I worry less about the stages puppies go through these days. It would be nice if her ears would stay up, however.
I think that I may know how Alice came to consider herself the Queen of the Universe. If she was as pretty and sweet and easy to hold and snuggle as her daughter is of course she grew up knowing that she was special!
Make sure that you check out the 4-month pictures of Clem on Mandy’s blog.
