Family news from Iowa

Posted on March 30, 2009June 12, 2018 By C-Myste

This in from Lani:
This weekend Maggie & I tried Open A obedience for the first time.  She was SUCH a good girl.  On Saturday she took 1st place, and on Sunday we took 3rd place with a 193.5 (11 dogs in the class both days).  I am so proud of her – especially since I’d never shown in Open, either.  It feels good to have 2 legs – 1 to go.

Denzil & I competed in Rally on Sunday only.  We missed our excellent run (we got snow & ice last night, and I didn’t quite make it for the 8am start), but we competed in Advanced, where Denzil scored 99 (1 point off for barking – jumping is just TOO fun, and deserves to be marked with a bark) and took first place.  It’s his first time in the ring for 2 years, so I’m especially proud.

Now fingers crossed for the Specialty!
