Alice has been in the dog hospital since this morning undergoing the humiliation of enemas to see if the blockage could be moved along. If not, she will be undergoing surgery tomorrow.
I guess it was only a matter of time. This is the dog who learned to open drawers and remove loaves of bread to eat. I used to keep the cat food on top of the cat tree. Alice learned to climb that so I had to move the food even higher. Then there is the scavenging for apples and other fruits under the trees. And raiding each other dog’s crate after meal time in case there was even a crumb left over.
We won’t mention the (ahem) recycling issue.
I am positive that she did not have a deprived childhood. And having a matronly figure has not seemed to bother her one iota.
