This year I have made a decision: I am not going to work marathon 12-hour days right through the holidays. We will be merry and full of cheer, no matter what. To aid in raising our spirits, we even put up a tree for the first time in several years.
It was nice to pull out some of our old special ornaments and see them again.
This one always reminded us of Juneau (our late beloved CH Phi-Vestavia Blue Juniper).
We even have a corgi angel for the top.
Huxley and Molly under the tree with a basket of teddy bears.
Kady waits for Santa to come down the chimney. Will there be cookies or coal in her stocking?
This is a pretty Southwestern angel that we’ve had for several years. Just so you know, Kady says that it is very scary and she is just sure that it is alive. Sometimes Kady has a little too much of her grandma Phoebe in her. Yesterday evening when I was chastising her for yet another minor transgression, I told Kady “watch out or the Christmas Angel is going to get you!” At which point she went over to the entertainment center where the angel currently resides, stood up on her hind legs, and stared right at the angel.
The dog is too smart.
