Eyes and ears are still closed, but it won’t be long. They are starting to respond to both sunlight in the room and to noises. All of the puppies are brindle of one shade or another: black brindle, brown brindle, red brindle. A couple, including Ace, don’t have visible striping yet.

Ace is up to 1 lb 15 ounces this morning. Still the biggest by far.

Bogie, 1 lb 6.5 ounces.

Darling Clementine, 1 lb 3.75 ounces.

Little Dainty is up to 14 ounces. Making good progress.

Eagle the quiet puppy is up to 12.25 ounces.

Feather: no featherweight at 1 lb 10.5 ounces.

Golda wanted to be asleep. 1 lb 9.75 ounces.

Heather has a black mask but I think she reminds me of Hannah in the face. She is up to 1 lb 6.5 ounces.

Ikey was hard to take pictures of: he is a perpetual motion machine. He is up to 12.25 ounces, more than double his birth-weight.

And pretty little Jiggers is up to 1 lb 2.5 ounces. I know that he looks black in pictures, but he is actually dark brindle. Like Heather, Jiggers has a black mask.
Puppy update
Ten is a lot of puppies: ask Alice. I tried to take the little three off of tube-feeding for a day, but they still aren’t able to hold their own. Dainty still gained a little between Wednesday and Thursday (1/4 ounce), Ikey stayed the same, but Eagle lost a little. So I am back to supplementing them. Ikey and Dainty are scrappy little things that get right in there, but Eagle is a quieter puppy who spends most of his time sleeping.
Weights as of yesterday evening:
Ace: an honkin’ 1 lb 10-3/4 ounces
Bogie: 1 lb 3-1/8 ounces
Clementine: 1 lb 1-3/4 ounces
Feather (not): 1 lb 5-1/8 ounces
Golda: 1 lb 3-1/8 ounces
Heather: 1 lb 3-1/4 ounces
Jiggs: 1 lb 0-7.8 ounces
And the little three were
Dainty: 11-1/2 ounces
Eagle: 9-1/2 ounces
Ikey: 10-1/4 ounces
This morning the little three (before feeding) were at
Dainty: 11-3/4 ounces
Eagle: 10-1/4 ounces
Ikey: 11 ounces
I will get some new individual pictures this weekend.
