I pay all of this money for pictures, you’d think think that I could at least get them scanned and posted. Geesh! Well, better late than never. Here are Pilot’s pictures from Lewiston last month. Four days, four shows, four group placements.

Yes, he is unfortunately a little over-stretched in the rear for his important Group I photo. We have had better luck with some photographers than with others. They have their names proudly displayed on their signs, so you can judge for yourself. These photos were untouched by photoshop except for resizing for the blog. I did make them clickable for a larger image this time around.
It was at Lewiston last year that Pilot’s daughter Lucy took her first major. And her second major was also in Idaho: today in Coeur d’Alene. Lucy is 5 for 5 wins in her last shows and now needs just a single point to finish. And tomorrow is another day. Go Lucy!
A big tractor came and mowed the pasture this week. More room to run without getting lost in way-over-corgi-height grass.

Unusual for us to see at the feeder. The birds don’t seem to mind the rain, but will someone please tell the weather gods to read the calendar?
I started the weekend out by taking Audrey and Kady to handling class, where we met up with Michelle and Copper. I had the best intentions of getting stacked pictures of the youngsters. And actually I did get pictures, but the auto focus on the camera quit working. I thought that the camera was toast but this morning after going into the settings, deleting all on the card, and pushing “save” every place I found, it started working again. I know: it’s magic.

While we were playing (and working doing A/P update installations and going to the theater in Ashland) others were upholding the family honor at the shows. We have three new titles to report this week along with some other winning:
Rogue is now CHAMPION Toreth C-Myste Rollin’ on the River. Rogue is Huxley x Kayla, half-sister to Audrey and Copper. She is Huxley’s first to finish.
From the Durango shows, Holmes is now CHAMPION C-Myste The Game’s Afoot at Elyan. Holmes is Chase x Phoebe - Chase’s first and Phoebe’s fourth champion.
On the performance front Kady’s older brother Sage is now C-Myste Baledwr Redwood Sunrise RN. We are very proud of the progress he has recently made.
In other results: Huxley daughter Ava (Ebonwald’s A Blessed Pirate Queen) was WB both days in Oshkosh with her first Best of Breed win on Saturday. She now has eight points with one major.
And last but not least our Pilot was in Lynden, WA at the Mt Baker Kennel Club shows. Best of Breed both days, Group IV on Saturday and (drumroll) his second Group I on Sunday! Thank you, Dixie.
Yesterday we saw our third play of the season at OSF: The Language Archive. Another play that I highly recommend, though I hate it when my eyes are leaking when the lights come on. The play is about language and marriage and relationships and communication and lack of communication and . . .
We have tickets for Measure for Measure on Saturday then we will probably be done until the end of the “high season”. Being local to the festival is a real plus. For each play we have had terrific seats scored when other prospective attendees have canceled. Tom just keeps watching the website.
On a sadder note, our hearts go out to Tavia and family today. Wally’s brother Cosmo was rushed to the emergency vet last night. He was found to have an abdomen full of fluid and a large tumor near his spleen. We are keeping them in our thoughts today.

Ellie and Kathy visited a couple of weeks ago and snapped some pictures of “the kids”. I’m very grateful that they have shared as I have been somewhat remiss of late. Audrey especially has been woefully neglected.
